Can you use old socks to stuff decorative pillows?

Or will they lump up?
What other things could one recycle as pillow stuffing?
*Clean socks, of course!
Old tights or pantyhose and old socks work well. Socks make a heavier pillow, of course, than do pantyhose or tights.
When I used socks as pillow stuffing, I was making a draught roll. I put it against my window at night to keep the cold draught from seeping through and freezing me out. To make sure they don't lump up, stuff your pillow as full as you can without splitting the seams.
One other thing you can reuse to fill decorative pillows is old decorative pillows. Get the ugly ones from a thrift store (they're cheaper and no one else wants them as is) and rip out the stuffing and use it.

I’ve used various recycled objects, including tights and socks. They need to be cut up very, very small if you don’t want them to lump up, but I must say they still do to a certain extent, and you always need more than you think you do. Add old cut-up knitted sweaters for the bulk. But I have to say that I go to cheap curtain shops now as they always have well priced cushion pads.

You can use all kinds of things to stuff. As long as what you are using is CLEAN and not something people might be allergic to, go ahead!

I do believe, there are a variety of items one could use for stuffing,
But of the same weight and texture, sliced small, as mentioned on here
nylons are excellent, My sister used plastic bags for pillows to take boating or to the beach.
